Book Short Summary:

In the past 30 years, the population of prisoners in the United States has expanded almost 5-fold, correctional facilities are increasingly overcrowded, and more of the country's disadvantaged populations—racial minorities, women, people with mental illness, and people with communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, and tuberculosis—are under correctional supervision. Because prisoners face restrictions on liberty and autonomy, have limited privacy, and often receive inadequate health care, they require specific protections when involved in research, particularly in today's correctional settings. Given these issues, the Department of Health and Human Services' Office for Human Research Protections commissioned the Institute of Medicine to review the ethical considerations regarding research involving prisoners. The resulting analysis contained in this book, Ethical Considerations for Research Involving Prisoners, emphasizes five broad actions to provide prisoners involved in research with critically important protections: • expand the definition of "prisoner"; • ensure universally and consistently applied standards of protection; • shift from a category-based to a risk-benefit approach to research review; • update the ethical framework to include collaborative responsibility; and • enhance systematic oversight of research involving prisoners.

A reprint of the report exactly as it was issued by the government, it is without analysis or commentary from any other source and with nothing subtracted except for the material redacted by the Department of Justice. The mission of the Mueller investigation was to examine Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election, consisting of possible links, or "collusion," between the Donald Trump campaign and the Russian government of Vladimir Putin as well as any allegations of obstruction of justice in this regard. It was also intended to detect and prosecute, where warranted, any other crimes that surfaced during the course of the investigation. The report consists of a detailed summary of the various investigations and inquiries that the Special Counsel and colleagues carried out in these areas. The investigation was initiated in the aftermath of the firing of FBI Director James Comey by Donald Trump on May 9, 2017. The FBI, under Director Comey, had already been investigating links between Russia and the Trump campaign. Mueller submitted his report to Attorney General William Barr on March 22, 2019, and the Department of Justice released the redacted report one month later.

Both groups need to understand the laws and legal practices of past eras. This essential reference is intended for the many nonspecialists who need to enter this arcane and often tricky area of research.

Book Short Summary:

This book is written for the purpose of educating the freedom loving people, who believe in God and are aware of the evil the IRS represents. It is my intentions to educate the people with the knowledge of understanding the IRS, enabling them to make educated and deliberate decisions in dealing with this dishonest agency. I, the author have already walked the walk, and talked the talk, but ultimately, everyone will have to walk this same walk, in order to acquire their freedom. Freedom is not Free. In all cases Freedom requires a price be paid, but the purpose of this book is to help make it so much understandable and simpler. The main point is to keep Christ as the center of your focus, because that is where we all hope to end up, is where he is at. It is my prayer, that all people will believe in Christ and not fear. He has told us 365 times in the Bible to not fear. We just need to have knowledge and understand. This is the main purpose of this book, to help others understand. I have taken the first chapter from my previous book, “Two Churches Only”, as a fitting beginning to this book, as I explain and show proof of how simple understanding the IRS is. Hopefully, by the end of it, people will begin to realize how they have been robbed by the IRS for years. There are several reasons this could happen. They either trust their government and believe that they wouldn't lie to them, or some church leader, acting as blind guides, are telling them, that to be Christian, is to do everything their government tells them to do. They tell them it is for their own good. Possibly the people are too gullible, or lazy to search out the truth for themselves. By reading this book all of the way through, is the first step to freeing yourself from the chains of bondage, and getting closer to God.

Book Short Summary:

Dalvinder Singh provides an interdisciplinary analysis of the legal aspects of prudential supervision. This gives the reader a broader understanding of the core processes of banking supervision. By using the UK as a case study, a comparison is made with the US to illustrate the different ways of approaching the issues. The author examines the legal as well as the theoretical, economic, political and policy issues that underpin the purpose of prudential supervision, such as corporate governance, enforcement sanctions, the role of external auditors and accountability of financial regulators. These are considered in the context of broad-policy considerations which render prudential supervision necessary, namely financial stability and depositor protection. The book will be of interest to academics, policymakers, regulators and practitioners, and equally will serve specialist undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in law, management and economics which focus on financial regulation.
